What'cha think?

(image added for future's amazing how short my memory is!)

Just a quick opinion poll.

Do you like the new layout/header/background?

I don't know if I do or not. I know it feels like summer and Kansas but does it feels like me? I toyed (obsessed) with it last night until I just gave up and went to bed. I'm looking for something that feels light and airy like "spring". I'll leave it alone for today and see what y'all think. (And as if I needed to tell's okay to be brutally honest.)

Thanks for being there (or here) for me, my little raspberry souffles. (Souffles are light and airy, right? get the connection?)

Love 'ya,

  1. I think it's sweet that you are using the barn on your parents farm as your header.
But the most important thing is- Do YOU like it?

  2. I like it, but as the above person wrote, do you like it?

I finally got some sunflowers to grow last year. Well, sort of. A little ground squirrel (we first thought a chipmunk but learned otherwise) dug some seeds and then came back for the harvest. What a hoot! Here is a link to a post I wrote about it.

Did you see my comments on your camera post? I went back a little yesterday. :) I really enjoy your blog.

  3. I like it! Very much. This is my opinion on blog backgrounds: the less that takes they eye away from the photo and the story, the better. I prefer crisp and clean and not cluttered on my blogs and I fight that myself. I tend to get my sidebar all clogged up sometimes and have to clean it off! I think you did a good job!

Speaking of cleaning...I tore apart our closets over the weekend and I have to finish up...UGH!!

  4. I love the picture because Grandpa Nelson's farm is so special to all of us....So I'm a yes....BUT I agree with everyone else....Do YOU like it? Change it up whenever the mood strikes you....You are so good at that..I actually want a picture of the pool soon!! Now we're talking summer!! :0)

  5. It works just fine especially if it captures something special about you.

To your comment...girl, I'm a coffee lover too! Tea is my thing but coffee is my second thing. We have a Keurig, cup by cup, maker. Oh the delicious flavors. Come over and I'll make you a cup!

  6. I love the header. The whole thing looks fresh and spring-y! Great job!

  7. From one Kansas girl to another - I love the sunflowers! And of course I love Grandpa's barn- so guess what my vote is? Cute! Plus like TK said, you can always change it up when the mood strikes!

  8. Thank you guys for checking in with your invaluable opinions! I guess I'll take the advice and leave it up for a while and maybe change it up every now and again!

  9. I love it and yes I am jealous how do you find all these and I love your blog and all the pics.

Hello...Thanks for taking the time to comment. Opening a comment is akin to receiving a gift...I'm always excited and usually pleased! Oh, Sweet Marmalade! Remember that line "Life is like a box of chocolates"? Well, sometimes comments are like that, never know what I'll get but always sweet of you to bother. Here's to the sweet life!
