We grilled flat iron steak
the marinade....
SOUTHWESTERN FLAT IRON STEAKThe recipe for the marinade/rub is:
2 T Chili powder
2 T packed brown sugar
1 T ground cumin
2 t garlic
2 t cider vinegar
1 t worcestershire sauce
1/4 t ground red pepper
Combine all ingredients in small bowl. Press evenly onto flat iron beef steak. Grill over hot heat 7-8 minutes each side. Let set x 5 minutes then slice across grain.
Southwestern Rub is okay but Spicer prefers a tummy Rub!For dessert we had PB Bars in honor of the new P B kisskiss blog!
2 1/2 C graham crumbs
1 C Peanut Butter
2 3/4 C powdered sugar
Combine with 1 C melted butter and ...
...when well mixed press into 9X13 pan
Then melt 12 ounce package of milk chocolate or regular chips in micro
Spread Chocolate and put in freezer X 10 minutes then slice.
So that was our Saturday. Pretty sweet, right?

Rose is a doll baby!! How cute is that! What a fun day! What is a flat iron beef steak?? You just made this Spring weather day even Springier with all your fun you had!!
ReplyDeleteCan I tell you how much I long for a Saturday like this? With my hubby gone it's so lonely and I can't wait for him to come home so we can do the normal things like working in the yard together and grilling. Seems like you had a great day!!
