I've sat here and uttered prayers. 
I've sat here and stared off without thinking.  
I've sat here and waited for the burgers to finish on the grill.  Today I'll sit here and try to capture a couple more seconds of summer.

    I'm not ready for summer to fade away. I'm trying to savor these last days of warm sunshine, and each time I take Tootie outside, I sit on the weathered steps of my deck in quiet reflection and absorption of what is left of my favorite season. Too soon the sunshine as we know it now will slowly dim and cooler temps will be followed by bitter cold. I'm in denial that winter will be here in a short time. Your bench looks to be the perfect spot to sit with a glass of wine and say my last goodbye to warm breezes and vivid blooms. How pretty!
