Step 1..pray alot
Step 2...no sugar
Step 3...no carbs
Step 4-12...Keep Busy,Busy, Busy!
I've been working on "thank you" cards.
For some unknown reason it takes me a vast amount of time to design one card and then I never want to repeat it...so-o-o-o each and every card is unique...but time consuming.
I've also been trying to finish up a baby blanket that is for a baby who is due the 30th of March. I'm using a very soft fluffy yarn but too small of needles...hence...it's taking forever. This baby will probably be in 'kinder' by the time I finish this blanket!
I'm also DE-TOXING! Oh, Sweet Marmalade! Is it ever hard! You know from previous posts that I am strongly attracted to, nay I say, addicted to SWEETS! Saturday, after eating nothing but carbs all day, I decided to eat chocolate ice cream before bed. BIG mistake. It all started with an apple turnover last week and ends in an ice cream binge! Mercy on me!
So, I'm detoxing and I am not a happy camper. Headache all day yesterday, went to bed aching and moaning, it's not a pretty sight. Today is day 3 and after today I should be okay again...but how I wish I had never given into the lure of sugar, again. Pride goeth before a fall and just when I think I have it licked...I...well you know...
My verse this week: "Not be might or by power but by My Spirit" says the LORD Almighty"
Zech. 4;6
Needless to say, I've been repeating this quite often as I "withdraw".
Books I'm reading:
To Hell on a Fast Horse---Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid biography
Under the Banner of Heaven---History of the FLDS cult
So You Don't Want to Go to Church Anymore---Going to church doesn't fulfill us 'cuz "We Are the Church"!
And strictly for pleasure: The Country Diary of An Edwardian Lady---love, love, love the paintings and hand-lettered text!
I'm sorting old pics here are a couple that gave me a laugh.
What Did I Eat?
Sun.
L: fajita meat, onions and peppers 260
S: green salad 4 0z. steak, lean 350
Mon.
B: 2 Eggs 140
L: Chicken Chili without beans 350
S: Roasted Chicken and Green Beans 310
No sugar, no carbs, nada...it's sad, sad, sad but true!
Finally, I painted roses for Stacey's invite. The proto-types are done...Today, I'll paint another set for final copy!

Hello...Thanks for taking the time to comment. Opening a comment is akin to receiving a gift...I'm always excited and usually pleased! Oh, Sweet Marmalade! Remember that line "Life is like a box of chocolates"? Well, sometimes comments are like that, never know what I'll get but always sweet of you to bother. Here's to the sweet life!
